Though it is generally assumed that fiction influences moral reasoning, there has been no in depth exploration of the mechanism by which fiction elements affect the way people reason about moral issues regarding genomics.

Aims
The realisation of a two-part television programme that contributes to a differentiation in moral reasoning of viewers. In other words, the programme aims at inviting viewers to think more closely about moral issues or rethink previous moral opinions. A qualitative study gives insight in the underlying mechanisms by which fiction affects moral reasoning on genomics.

Research questions
What are the basic arguments in moral dilemma’s in genomics?In what ways are the basic arguments represented in modern fiction?In what ways do fiction elements affect moral reasoning of the public?
