Guido de Wert
As of 1 June 2002, Guido de Wert is professor of ‘Ethics of Reproductive Medicine and genetic research’ at the Medical Faculty of Maastricht University. Guido de Wert studied ethics / theology in Nijmegen. Since 1984 he is associated with the Institute for Health, Ethics and Society (HES), which became part of Maastricht University in 2001. In addition he has been parti-time secretary to the Dutch health Council (1987-1989) and lecturer of health ethics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (1994-1999). At EUR, he received his PhD cum laude: ‘Met het oog op de toekomst. Voortplantingstechnologie, erfelijkheidsonderzoek en ethiek’ (Amsterdam: Thela Thesis, 1999; ISBN 90-5170-485-2).
